Same joy. Different people. Different places. Sometimes, the things we love don't disappear. They simply find new ways to be part of our lives. *Storytime with Shikha — From love. For love.*
And then somewhere along the way, life changed as it does.
School became college.
College became work.
Different places, different people, different responsibilities.
And somewhere in all of that, those conversations became quieter.
Not that I stopped talking, of course not.
I still had people around me.
I still had things to say.
But I think more and more of those conversations started happening inside the head Thoughts, questions, observations, things I wonder about.
And sometimes a whole conversation with myself without saying a word.
Which, by the way, can be quite convenient.
Anyway, the interesting thing is I didn't notice the change while it was happening.
I didn't sit there one day and think, oh, I've stopped those long conversations.
No, I didn't particularly miss them.
They were...
They were not actually gone.
Life was moving along and I was moving along with it.
Until somewhere along the way, they started finding their way again.
With colleagues, with patients, with people that I just met and sometimes still with myself.
And I found myself making time for conversations that didn't necessarily have a purpose.
