But the thing that was interesting to me is when you said, you know, You use the skill games, that's not to say there might not be some sort of fee or tax or whatever that comes along with using them in the clubs.
Does that mean right now they're not paying a single dime to have them in the clubs at all? Is that what you meant by that?
I don't know exactly what the fee is, but they are paying a fee for the skill games machines.
His bill is regulating skill games, but mainly it is charging a $500 surcharge per machine per month.
Obviously, Pacematic had guesstimated there to be approximately 50,000 machines.
So that estimates it to be about $300 million per year that Pennsylvania would be making on skill games taxes.
And knowing Pennsylvania, we all know that that tax money is going to go to good use and everybody's going to be happy as a result, right?
Like the roads?
Yeah, to the roads.
And I think that's why a lot of people are a little uneasy about this.
If I can kind of play devil's advocate here a little bit, people, I think – I don't know.
I think there's a lot of opposition because, number one, they probably don't know enough about it.
But also, too, based on history, I mean, think about when we were getting casinos built in the area and, you know, all the promises were made like, hey, you know what, if we can if we're able to get this done, we're going to put the money towards this.
We're going to put the money towards that.
I mean, even
property taxes.
Yeah, exactly.
I mean, everything was going to benefit the local citizens.
So as far as this, you brought up the skill games there, and I know, you know, that's kind of not the only thing you want to chat about here.
