This week on the SKOd the guys go over what has now become a common occurrence for the Bears: an easy, dominant win against an overmatched team, in this case the New York Jets. The insane level of…
Uh, f- I mean, I'm feeling good.
I, I mean, I'm, I'm still hoping that Caleb is back at least next week against the Falcons.
I sort of think if the Bears were one and three he probably would be, but I think at this point-
Mm
... they're kinda looking at the, at the next couple of weeks as, as would be nice to haves, not gotta haves now because they banked the Eagles and Jets wins so easily.
Um, no, I feel, I mean, if you talk about our main concern entering the season, obviously it was the defense and we were all saying like if they can just be a top 20 unit then this team is a real contender.
And I don't know how you could look th- at what they've done through four games and not feel that like this is a top 20 unit.
And I'm just like I don't think there's anybody right now who truly believes that the Bears are as good as the, they've looked beating up on the Jets and the Eagles and the Vikings in a rainstorm.
Nobody thinks that they are a top, actually a top five NFL defense right now.
But they never had a, had a stretch last year where they could even fake being a top 10 defense.
No.
That's like this is tremendous progress and, and we're nearing the deadline.
There are, teams are starting to sort to the bottom.
There are guys that are gonna become available.
There are already whispers about a Khalil Mack reunion.
Mm.
Th- the Nickelback who shall not be named is theoretically, like he's actually been act- like he's been, his practice-
Yeah
... room is open.
He actually supposedly he's, he's about to become a real thing and not just a metaphor.
Like there's a lot of reasons to think that like this really-- obviously there's worse days ahead.
There's better offenses ahead.
But like you should hopefully have Caleb back before you start really playing the good offenses, uh, on your schedule, 'cause guess what? Green Bay's not one of them.
