One win down, 19 to go! The Bears offense came into this season with a ton of hype and they may have blown even all of THAT out of the water in week 1 with a 59-37 victory over the Carolina Panthers…
Yeah, I mean, do we tackle the bad stuff up front so that we can finish? Do you want to finish with all the
good? So
we can gush.
Do you want me to rant about it?
Well, I mean, yeah.
Because I know what made you the most mad.
And I will say this in advance.
I'm going to agree with you that Ben cannot make a fourth down decision like that.
I'm going to agree with you that if Ben is making a fourth down decision right with that, stop running quarterback sneaks.
How much more evidence do you need? And again, we're big fans of Caleb.
We're going to have a lot of positive Caleb talk here a little bit.
If there's one thing that I think the kid is like certified bad at at this point, it's quarterback sneaks.
Yes.
Like if you're going to do it, for the love of God, use one of your backs that gained 230 fucking yards yesterday.
Like just run a real play if you're going to do it.
But also, yes, I mean, Ben Johnson needs to not get tilted like a kid in Madden and be like, I've got to score every time.
I mean, if it's the third quarter, if it's the fourth quarter, even sometimes you make a decision like that.
But in the second quarter with your offense also looking unstoppable, sometimes you just you just don't make a tilt call.
Now, I'm going to get into why I still think the ultimate responsibility for that is – or at least not the responsibility.
I think the way – the
responsibility lies with Ben.
I think the way to reduce some of the psychological factors that contribute to the tilting is – is to not have a defense that is thoroughly untrustworthy.
And I think we all know where my feelings are on who is responsible for that.
But Travis, say your piece on the fourth down.
Let's get that out of the way, because obviously we are not going to spend a whole lot of time talking about a game where the Ben Johnson offense put up 552 fucking yards of offense and 59 points, ranting about how mad we are at Ben Johnson.
