The season is nigh, and that means one final pre-regular season pod; it's time to preview the Chicago Bears! Join us as we lament the defensive line, applaud the offense, finally make a call on Rome v…
We only did a few minutes.
last week when we talked about the north because we're gonna do as much as we fucking want right now really uh so i i where do you want to start how do we dig into this bears team do we start with the bad and end with the good do we wrap around the offense
yeah i think that makes sense we start up front um with our concern well i just want to i want to preface all of this at the beginning, just kind of with like where some of the stuff I've talked about this off season, where my frustrations are at, where people, you know, cause God knows every time you're even mildly critical of the general manager, the 26 and 42 general manager who would need to go 17 and O this year, just to have a record over 500 in his tenure.
I want to remind everyone of that goals.
Um, Anytime you're critical of him, it's just, you know, it's all you just want to hate and look at all the wonderful things he's done for us.
We got us a coach and a quarterback and let's just discuss nothing else.
Blah, blah, blah.
My frustration with how the Bears have approached this offseason.
And it's not even just this specifically this offseason, because I actually agree, because when you bring up your frustrations with where the roster is at.
people will point out that there were not a whole lot of avenues this offseason for fixing the problems on this roster.
And I agree with that.
Like, we can go back.
I was like, yeah, I mean, you can't chase bad money with more bad money.
We'll see how the draft plays out.
Blah, blah, blah.
The problem is that we saw how the draft played out.
I was still frustrated with the holes on the roster.
And it turned out you weren't allowed to get mad there either.
So...
I agree, there were no quick fixes for the holes on the roster in this offseason.
This is where I would also like to remind everybody that the guy in charge has been in charge for five offseasons now, so the holes in the roster are also his fault.
Even if I agree that he couldn't have pulled some miracle in 2026 to fix the problems, the problems are still his problems.
All that said, at no point have I been dooming to the point where I'm like, the Bears are doomed, blah, blah, blah, blah.
My frustration is that we'll get into this in a little bit.
