Isidoro visits Larry at the Howler's bar to learn about the club's history. Aspen and Jester are visited by Elias and they try to grill him for information. Jace also heads to the Howler's bar and has…
Anyway, let's get everybody caught up as to where we are now.
Last week, we saw Jester receive a visit from Charles and Iron Oath, where Iron Oath actually apologized for what happened on the training field unexpectedly, saying his loyalty was to Charles and that it was out of place for him to have taken such aggressive actions in that moment.
It allowed Jester a little bit of an insight into who Victor Iron Oath Volkov is and what his personal motivations are as whereas where his loyalties truly lie, which is something that comes into question constantly in Vermont with separate factions all seemingly having their own ambitions and motivations.
After that, we saw Jason and Izzy return to the scene of the crime at the St. Pete Defense Arts Academy, where they saw the destruction firsthand, even though it had been cleaned up and some progress had been made.
Jason was able to get a little bit more insight into what was happening there as he found a Guru glyph of rage on the outside of the building.
Now, it seems like this was a little bit messily made, so it's not as precise as often glyphs are, and it was made with spray paint, which is also not usually how they're made.
So it did lead to a lot of questions as to how they learned of this glyph.
They were able to connect some dots to find out that the Mongolian Raiders, the rival biker club of the Howlers, possibly had some insight into Guru culture, having one time been under the leadership of Ryder, who had ins- possibly instructed them in some of this symbology in the past.
So it is starting to make some questions rise as to what involvement the Raiders have with this particular turn of events, these riots that seem to be breaking out in the city, and what is their goal with all of it.
After that, we saw Aspen meet with Anastasia Volkova, Iron Oath's wife and Katarina's mother, the right master of the North Country Protectorate.
And needless to say, it was what it was.
It was a very kind of formal, somewhat chilly, very political interaction between the two of them.
But Aspen got some answers as to where Anastasia's loyalties lie, and it was made very apparent to her just how dangerous the Silver Fang Theurge could be.
After the break, we saw Jason meet with Stakes, where Stakes, in a Stakes way, apologized for going against orders and explained more about what her personal motivations were and her previous checkered history with the Cult of Fenris was, and even that she should remove herself from further investigations until an attack is to take place.
Jason, of course, took his own brand of leadership, doing a little bit more of a grounded approach with Stakes, which was surely appreciated.
And the two of them got to know each other a little bit better and bond a little bit better over this, but ensure that Jason's leadership wasn't completely questioned by her actions.
And then after that, we saw Izzy return to Grandma Eliza to receive a little bit of TLC and a little bit of nurturing, but also got some insight into Eliza and some of what Eliza's been struggling with, with the presence of the Cult of Fenris.
And then finally, Aspen and Jester received a rare opportunity as Elias snuck them out of the estate in the middle of the night to meet with Mari Albrecht, whose name isn't quite Mari, it's Samira, but because the king has dubbed her Mari, that is what she's been going by ever since.
And as the supposed queen consort adopted by the king, her future as leader of the sept of the nation is kind of in question.
Of course, Jester and Aspen attempted to convince Mari not to take the throne and to assure her that she was very much in danger.
But this led to a very interesting turn as the previously scared Mari became very defensive and even said, "Hopefully we won't have to sort this out on the battlefield someday." And that is how the interaction was left.
