Fr. Andrew Iskander - Homily for the 4th Sunday of Epip. Just as Jesus raised Lazarus, we can resurrect the good virtues and faith we've lost over time—because Christ's victory over death frees us…
And the last couple of weeks, we had the gospel reading on the little children to remind the disciples and all of us about simplicity and humility.
Last week was the reading of the feeding of the multitudes to remind... all of us to trust that God provides whatever is good.
And so today Jesus shows us that even more than that, there is the reality of eternal life because if Jesus raises the dead, then how does he do that without authority to raise us eternally? But when I read the gospel this time of this miracle, I reflected on how Lazarus was loved by Jesus, and Lazarus was subject to the curse of the world, which is death.
