And in today's gospel, Jesus is reminding the disciples, and us, that He is the only way to the Father.
Everything else that we assume to be a good path that does not have Christ as God is not the path to Heaven.
Jesus is the only way, and that is why despite all of the pleasures of the world, we have to find confidence in that truth.
So the gospel is on Jesus being the way and the truth and the life, and that's the theme for this week of the, of the holy 50 days.
