Exploring Presence, Silence & ‘This’3:48 – 5:24

John ButlerHost

3:48

Present, that's another word we could use for this, isn't it? The presence.

John ButlerHost

3:56

The ever-present presence.

John ButlerHost

4:00

Of what? And here I'm going to bring in another word.

John ButlerHost

4:05

I'm going to call it this.

John ButlerHost

4:11

Because we can't actually describe it, can we? We don't actually know what it is, yet you all know what I'm talking about 'cause it's just obvious.

John ButlerHost

4:24

It's here.

John ButlerHost

4:27

This.

John ButlerHost

4:32

This simplicity.

John ButlerHost

4:40

This utter simplicity.

John ButlerHost

4:47

This peace, this silence.

John ButlerHost

4:53

It's still, isn't it? But it's not static.

John ButlerHost

4:57

It's constant.

John ButlerHost

4:58

That's perhaps a better word for it.

John ButlerHost

5:00

It's constant.

John ButlerHost

5:01

It's ever abiding with us.

John ButlerHost

5:05

It can never not be here, can it? The presence.

John ButlerHost

5:11

The presence of what? Of this.

John ButlerHost

5:19

We can find lots of labels for it, but for now, let's just call it this.
