Today we're talking about something that impacts every single one of us, whether we talk about it or not, and that's mental health.

We live in a world where we're constantly expected to show up, perform, produce, lead, and keep moving forward.

And at home, we're trying to be good parents, good spouses, good friends, good family members.

We have stressful seasons and moments where life just feels a little heavier than usual.

But how often do we actually admit that? How often does someone ask, how are you doing? And we automatically respond to, I'm good, busy, how about you? And when we're not good because we don't have to burden someone else, we don't want to look weak.

you can be the person everyone depends on and still needs someone to depend on two things can be true at the same time and i think we need to get a little bit more comfortable acknowledging that so what does this mean for us especially in the workplace as someone who's spent more than 20 years in human resources and operations i think we sometimes get so focused on the work that we forget about the people doing the work We talk about the engagement, productivity, retention, performance, and those things matter.

But behind every hectic, crazy situation is a human being with a life outside of the office.
