My name is Jason.
With me is Cam.
His hair's grown back.
It's growing
back, dude.
I told you.
Just need the beard to come back.
Yeah, exactly.
It's just so funny how you were like, you know, my wife wants me to grow my hair out.
And I'm like, dude, you fucking shaved it.
I can't.
It's too hot.
I can't do it.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, you did talk about that with your bugs.
What's your cat playing back there?
Pac-Man, it looks like.
It was too dark over there.
So my wife put all her beautiful Halloween stuff out, right? So I was going to be my backdrop.
80% of them got thrown on the ground and destroyed.
I told her.
I'm like, they're going to get fucking destroyed.
Anyways, so she ended up putting it all out, and I'm putting it all away.
but you did move some of your machines then
Well, I just needed to fill something.
It was dark over there.
It was like a dark corner, so I just moved them.
The only one that's not over there is my Street Fighter.
I just wanted to fill...
Dude, good luck on Turtles.
Probably can beat me on Pac-Man, though.
Anyway...
Anyway...
I'm not flexing.
I just looked off.
So I just put something over there.
That's all it is.
They're fucking cheap.
No, no, no.
I wasn't saying that.
They're not good cats.
Anyway, my week was...
Yeah.
It's actually not been that bad, but when you sit in an LLV, it sucks.
It does.
Yeah, those things just, man, it just doesn't matter if it's a cool day or a hot day.
It's just they're always hot.
You can't get around it.
I've been staining my ass in a parking lot for the last freaking three days in a row.
Yeah, dude.
Love that.
Fucking hot.
Yep.
Uh, so that's been fun.
I've just been exhausted.
Like, I don't, I don't know if it has something to do with like, you know, I do this training and stuff in the morning and then they basically give me an entire route to try to get done afterwards.
And I'm like busting my ass.
Why are you, we shouldn't talk about this on the show.
I don't talk about it on the show.
Why are you working late?
I'm not really though.
They're, they are sending me help.
It's just, the problem is like, I get, I get done and then I get back and they're like, okay, here you go.
I'm like, this is the whole thing.
You do realize that.
And I have two and a half hours less than I normally do.
Yesterday I had four hours less than I normally do.
Oh, here's the whole, whole route.
We'll try to get you some, some help.
And they send me the worst help possible.
But anyway, no, I'm not working late.
Like, but the thing is like yesterday, it did kind of piss me off because I get back at like, you know, four 20 something.
I don't even remember.
And like, there's no cars left in the parking lot.
yeah no everybody got on eight
and everybody in the morning they were like um yeah yeah yeah we'll we'll get you some help and then it's like well we really don't have the help to give give you well technically you did you just you sent everybody home i was literally one of the last cars in the parking lot yesterday
yeah you shouldn't be punished for training that's bullshit
That's kind of how I feel.
And I don't want to give in and be like, I don't want to train anymore because you guys never offer me help because that's them winning.
And I do enjoy doing the training.
I like to provide actual decent training.
Not that Steve's a great trainer, but if I don't, I don't know who the next person is going to be.
You know what I mean? I try to provide the best training that I can.
that i can so i want to keep doing it but it's just yes i get like punished almost for it
that's because our pts are liabilities a couple of them in particular so that's why you wouldn't have worked at 10 if they would actually do what they're supposed to do
yeah i mean it's just frustrating when when i know that pts have have gone home and i'm
that's fucked up
still stuck there i don't mind like you know i'll take you know the extra hours and stuff but it's just like it's just a weird feeling when you're just like
hmm yeah
this didn't used to happen
shouldn't happen it shouldn't anyway
anyway how
was uh bruce workers bruce more orchestra so
So yeah, we had Bruce Moore Orchestra.
So my daughter is in the children's choir, which has ties to the Cedar Rapids Orchestra.
So last night they had an event at Bruce Moore where they performed with...
The orchestra, they only sang three songs with them.
So they go up, they sing a couple songs.
They she came back and sat with us and then they had an intermission and then they go back up and sing some more.
Well, the problem was at about seven forty five, a storm rolled in and they already had planned on doing an intermission performance.
just a little bit before 8, so they still did the intermission.
Then it started raining.
Then they got on the mics and was like, this intermission might just be a little bit longer because we want to let this pass.
And then a few minutes later, they got on the mic and said, lightning has struck within 10 miles, so we have to automatically put a 30-minute pause
on
everything.
So we're just like... wandering around my my wife and i just walked around the mansion um a bit uh bruce moore and you know then it got extended a little bit longer i mean a 20 minute intermission turned into over an hour um and then they finally came back and were like all right we're gonna we're gonna resume so you know, and during the intermission, I'm like, I'll, you have one more song.
Do you want to stay for the, she hates storms and everything anyway.
And we're outside.
There's no,
like,
you know, when I said we're walking around the mansion, like the outside, you can't get in.
I mean, we were peeking all the way.
You ever been to that place?
I have
not.
It's dude.
It's creepy.
It is creepy.
We could see all the pictures and stuff on the wall.
Like some of them, there's all those old school pictures with like faces and stuff.
And like this one, the guy's face was all scratched off.
So it just looked like this creepy.
There's one with this lady.
She's just like staring.
I'm like, dude, this is not supposed to be like a haunted place, but it looks creepy as fuck.
But, um, But anyway, so then they come back on and they're like, we're going to resume.
So we bring our chair back down to the lawn, set everything back up.
We sit down.
They're just getting ready to start.
They start.
And here comes our daughter walking from the stage up to us.
And I'm like, what are you doing? You're supposed to be up there.
She's like, we're not going to do our song.
I'm like, what?
So she's like,
we can just go.
I was like, we could have left a fucking hour ago.
I was going to go, but it was like 35 bucks a ticket at the door.
I was like,
Hey, it was a $22 ticket.
So we're like, that's not too bad.
Well, it, the 22 went up to 27 and then there was a $10 service fee and there was like another fee.
And I'm like, this is insane.
Yeah, Morgan and I were like, hey, let's go, let's go.
We were totally going to go.
Oh, really? And we went to the tickets and it was like $35 a seat.
I'm like, holy shit.
Yeah.
You know, I wanted to go and like experience the whole thing, which sounded like it was a shit show, but not for $35 a seat.
No.
God damn.
And the funny thing is, is like along the sides of this, this like grounds, I mean, it's like acres worth of land.
It is just ridiculous.
You know, they have everything fenced off, so, like, you can't just, like...
But everyone, all these people were standing on the fence line on the outside.
And you could
stand up.
By first stab, there's a whole...
You could stand on the fucking sidewalk down there.
Yeah.
There's people set up chairs just right on the other side of the fence and just... like itchy fuckers but i don't blame them
thing at uh double what is it double double it used to be the double n now it's something else
oh double z they do it out of the
back of a trailer and they're just homeless people fucking sitting there i went and saw oh god i can't even think of the name of the goddamn band now some old 80s band there but it was a that was a time to be alive anyway what a great start to a gaming podcast
Talking about our own stuff.
It's fine.
Yeah, yeah.
We got a big show today.
We got some games to talk about.
Kind of a retro day, which is kind of cool.
Yeah, yeah.
A
little bit of a throwback day.
Yeah.
And then...
Like, all
these games are, like, older, but, like...
Well, yours is still older, but, like, newer, older games.
It's weird.
Newer, older.
You got newer, older.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, you'll know what we mean.
The remake, remaster, and classic episode.
Yes, exactly.
But...
The Shop Talk is going to be loaded today.
It's been a crazy week with Gamescom and everything else, and we're going to get into all that, so stick around for that.
