Like, I feel like people know that they don't have to be the one, like, with all of the answers, but I feel like most people struggle to let go of things as leaders because they want to, like, save everybody, and they want to be seen as, like, helpful and responsible and a team player.

And so then they, like, jump in and do the things that their team should actually be doing, or they answer questions that their team should actually be a- answering, um, which then stunts the growth of everybody on the team and creates an environment where now everything continues to, like, route through the owner.

Um, so I don't know that that's, like, a specific myth, but I think it's, like, probably the most common problem.

And I think that CEOs or leaders, like, in general, um- ... struggle to recognize that people can be right without having the same answer as you.

That diversity of thought, uh, is, is a really good thing for a team, and you just have to get really comfortable with it, right? And you have to trust your people and your systems more than you trust everybody to make the exact decision that you would make, which takes time and intention when you're actually leading a team.

But it can be very scary for people, but if they don't, if they don't learn the leadership piece, then I think that most people are just, like, really not good leaders, if I'm being honest.
I mean-
We know this to be true

... especially, like, small business owners, they're actually not focused on developing leadership skills as much as they should be.

Like, and, and so just for example, like, a business skill would be how to market your business better or how to get better at a sales call, right? Like, people are more focused on that than they are, "How do I have a productive conversation with a team member so that I can actually get them to, you know, further their development or be able to do things more autonomously?" Like, that's, that's a leadership skill, not a business-specific skill, and most entrepreneurs, small business owners are so focused on the business skills that they lack a lot of leadership skills.
I, yeah.
Yeah, I think that's exact- like, I think you nailed it, is that more, m- so many people, all they can think about is, like, "How do I get more revenue?" Which, obviously, I understand you need revenue to make a business-
... blah, blah, blah, blah.
You know, I get it.
Like, but-
At what cost, you know? Um-
