Life Lately: We are back after a little break!

But I wanna keep on the topic of books and films, because I am behind everybody else in the UK apparently, and have finally caught up with Rivals.

Because I had not watched it, and I have not read the book.

But I've done the two seasons, and if you've not watched Rivals and want to, um, maybe just skip this little bit, 'cause we're probably gonna say some spoilers and things like that.

But it was really, really good, Joss.

I know you recommended it, and I had been meaning to get around to watching it.

I finally did, and I like how the story develops and how it all starts building.

And I don't like how they've finished the last season.

I, as soon as I finished that episode, I text Joss and went, "When's the next lot coming out? Because not happy with that ending." [laughs]

Yes.

Rivals by the late, it was original book written by the late, great Jilly Cooper, who I am a huge fan of.

Um, and if you asked the people that me and Rosie work with a lot, they'd all say the same, "God, Jilly Cooper, we are obsessed with Jilly Cooper." But so Rivals is the second book in The Ructures Chronicles, um, which starts, which starts with Riders, based on the showjumping world.

Then there's Rivals, which is based on the TV world.

And then there's Polo, which is based on the polo world.

And then she's written 13 books all set in Ructures, which is the Cotswolds.

Um, and so they, so they g- they snowball on and on.

But Rivals is probably the best book that they've, uh, and then they've adapted it.

But isn't it, um, it's, it's, it w- it's a real romp of really sexy times.

Um, but also I think the best bit about it are the relationships people, um, develop.

Not just the romantic ones, but the friendships in it.

Um, so tell me, Rosie, who were your favorite characters in Rivals?

Um, it's a hard one, because I feel like they've all got, they all have negative elements.

Do you know what I mean? But also some very positive ones that you can't help but love.

Um, you don't really want to like Rupert Campbell-Black, but you kinda do.

You can't help but hope that it does all turn out okay for him.

Um- And I think, [sighs] I mean, Taggy is a sweetheart.
