But one thing I think a lot of people do not realize is how intertwined and important wine is to the history of the people of Ukraine, and especially a little place called Crimea, which was seized by Russia just about 10 years ago.

On today's episode, I'm going to have Sergei Klimov, who is a prominent wine professional in Kyiv, Ukraine.

He wrote the literal book on the wines of Ukraine, and it w- it's just an incredibly fascinating person.
