Young Professional Advisory Council: AI, Risk, and the Next Generation of Insurance

Uh, my name is Max Zoss.

I'm a member of the volunteer group for the Young Professionals Advisory Council.

I'm here today with Eric Boucher.

Eric is a, uh, he serves as the vice president of the Risk and ALM function at Sammons Financial Group.

In this capacity, Eric is responsible for overseeing the company's asset and liability management, asset modeling, and long-term financial forecasting.

Uh, with a robust background in insurance risk management, product development, asset liability management, and hedging, Eric brings a strategic vision and deep experience to his leadership role.

Eric resides in West Des Moines, Iowa with his wife, Jess, and their two young boys.

Outside of work, he is actively involved in the West Des Moines Rotary Club.

Eric earned a master's degree in statistics with a focus in actuarial science from the University of Iowa, complementing his dual bachelor degrees in applied mathematics and Chinese.

His professional journey includes various prior roles at Transamerica, overseeing financial and underwriting risk functions, product strategy and pricing, ALM and hedging, and experience studies.
