Corey Uccello served for over two decades as the senior health fellow at the American Academy of Actuaries, where she was, for many of us, the voice of the profession in Washington, translating actuarial analysis on Medicare, Medicaid, and the individual market for policymakers, regulators, and the press.

She recently stepped down from that role, which makes this a perfect moment to take stock.
