We'll start with the injury updates here.
So Jonathan Grenard.
like again as we said last week our biggest signing of the offseason um out again he was practicing all week limited participant out again uh determined today on the friday in the final injury report before kickoff um what do you guys think like he's saying in all of his he's been interviewed in the locker room and stuff he's saying that he's he's healthy and that he's like well not healthy but he's like i'm so close like i'm good i'm good i'm so close In my head, we're going to need him a lot against Chicago next week.
I would have loved to get him, even if...
I'm not saying he has to play a full workload, but if it's like 10, 15 snaps to get himself back in the flow, I think that would be beneficial.
Where do you guys kind of sit on it?
I think it's kind of a matter of just... an abundance of caution, let him get back when he's back a hundred percent.
Like there's no point in rushing him.
If we're aiming for a, like a long post-season run, like sure.
So like, if that's kind of what, how we're weighing it.
And I will say our pass rush rotation did look a little shallow without him, like Nolan and which we'll get into later, or we talked about last time, Nolan and, um, And Jalex had a really good game, but underneath them, behind them, there wasn't really much pass rush.
And it kind of showed.
Yeah.
So it would have been nice to have him in rotation, but let's just get him back when he's 100%.
I'd rather that than just risk something now and then have it extend later into the season.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I kind of agree with both you guys.
It's a weird position.
Obviously, if the training staff feels that there's a legitimate risk putting him out there this week, obviously don't.
But it would have been nice, I think, for him to get some reps ahead of the Bears game.
Obviously, on a pitch count, it would have been nice to see him.
But if the training staff feels like it's necessary, then I guess keep him off.
Yeah,
