Eagles @ Bears Week 3 Preview

How's it going, people? So big, big, big week three matchup against the Chicago Bears, a team which I think we should probably lead this conversation off with.

the quarterback depth currently for the Chicago Bears, who are going to be playing, it hasn't been confirmed yet, but based on everything we've been seeing, are going to be playing without starting quarterback Caleb Williams and backup quarterback Tyson Bajent.

So they're going to be playing their third string, who we have a bit of experience with in Case Keenum.

Anybody afraid of Case Keenum?

No.

The last time we played him was the NFC Championship game, which was somehow nine years ago.

It's

actually crazy how that was that long ago.

I know.

I know.

But yeah, it didn't go well from that time.

I don't think it's going to go well from this time either.

Yeah.

So Case Keenum hasn't started a game, actually even played in a game in the NFL since 2023, right? So it's been a little while.

He is currently 38 years old, almost turning 39 at the end of the year.

The one thing that I will say, the Chicago Bears have, to start the year and going back to our matchup last year, they've been a very, very good team.

a very good run team.

That's something that Ben Johnson prides himself on, I think, in installing the run game himself.

That was something that was spoken a lot about in last year's Black Friday matchup because, yeah, the Bears ran all over us for 280 yards.

Um, so I think Caleb being out, obviously he, he's an addition in the run game because he, he's fast, especially how he's looked this year.

Like he, he seems like he lost a little bit of weight and he's quicker.

So I definitely think that that, that works to the Eagles advantage.

But that being said, like, you know, two very capable backs and a very good offensive line.

So that's going to have to be buttoned up on run defense.
