Look, we're gonna have a chat about KiwiSaver from a bunch of different angles.

And, you know, we are told that it's the future and contributions are important, and that we're not contributing enough.

I guess there's a generation of people who are just assuming, "I'm not gonna have super when I'm retiring." So y- and you certainly can't rely on your super payments being enough.

I mean, I think there are a bun- a whole generation of Gen Yers with the Millennials wh- I dunno where they're at with their expectations on super.

Anyway, but today National also announced mandatory KiwiSaver for all work- worker- workers.

I mentioned I'm not a huge fan of just splashing the cash from a point of view of, uh, an, winning an election because politicians love to throw money around.

But I guess if you're happy for them to throw money around, is this a good direction for them to throw, uh, the money into $1,500 for every, um, k- child? Which I think I applied a, a, an, a, an average return rate of 5%, and by the time that baby retires, depending on how you do your calculations, compounding and all that sort of thing...

... "What do you reckon it's worth when they retire?" And it said about between 32 and 40,000 bucks, assuming s- 5%.

Do you like the policy? But also the other things like, um, they're going to make it, uh, compulsory for employers to contribute beyond 65, which is a policy I 100% like because the fact that you have continued working, the fact that you've hit 65 shouldn't be letting your employer off the hook.

If they want you, then why would you be treated any differently? That seems to me to make sense.

There's a few other things we can dig into, but, um, your reckons on 0800 80 10 80.
