And, uh, in the previous two weeks, we talked about the only here-ness as sort of pointing toward situation, space, and that we have this propensity as humans to often attempt to escape the location that we're in and how that originates out of a protective mechanism that has a lot of wisdom.

Um, a lot of times things happen to us in li- in our life that the body carries this wisdom, the spirit carries the wisdom to protect us by leaving, but then this can become a habit of exiting difficulties, exiting our, our given moment, our truth.

And so part of spiritual growth and maturity is to learn how to come back, come back to the here.

And the nowness points towards time in a way, the presence of time, the immediacy of our experience, and how so often we're caught in thinking patterns that bring us into the future or in the past.

And while sometimes that can be useful of, um, imagination, curiosity, it also can quickly become rumination, uh, playing over and over again the things that we've done that w- maybe we wish we hadn't done or someone had done to us, or getting caught routinely in an imaginit- imagination space about the future that doesn't allow us to actually show up for the beauty and the presence of the life that we're in now.

And so, again, we engage meditation, we engage these spiritual practices as a way of, uh, interrupting those patterns, coming back, coming back, coming back.
