This is Darren Francis with Signals and Higher Ed and Harbinger Lane Consulting, and I am excited today to be joined by Dr. Ngoc Cindy Pham.

Uh, she is currently a tenured associate professor of marketing at CUNY Brooklyn College.

I was glad that we got to meet last week and excited to learn more about what you're working on.

One is I always like to say that this is, this is a part of an ongoing series we've been doing for about nine months now, where we're talking about experiential learning.

And that inside of experiential learning comes a lot of really exciting things.

That can be something like an internship or an apprenticeship, or it can just be a way in which you are engaging students differently, uh, that, that really bring to the forefront the, the necessary skills in the instruction itself that will help them be successful in their careers.

Um, and with that, I thought it would be great to talk to you because, uh, of all the exciting work that you're doing, um, not only are you a professor of marketing, uh, but you're also a research collaborator at NYU Tandon.


Um, but I would love it if we could actually start our conversation today just to, to talk a little bit about where-- how you got into teaching and why, why, why marketing and why teaching.

I would love for you to start us there and sort of how you, how things kind of connected.

But just anything you wanna share about, about what made you decide to go into the field of teaching, especially in a, in an area like marketing.
