[rock music] For those that are listening to this podcast for the first time, maybe you haven't checked out any of the countdown episodes before.

For those that have, yes, I'm explaining this for the millionth time because you never know.

They don't know how these countdowns work, and maybe they wanna participate in a future countdown, which I will discuss in a second because we are planning out, uh, shows for the rest of the summer that will be released while, uh, I am, uh, away basically, and I will continue to put episodes out on a weekly basis.

But anyway, I have people submit their 10 favorite albums based on the topic that we're talking about.

This time around, it's albums from the decade of the '80s, and if you keep track, most years were won by Iron Maiden.

Now, I don't wanna give too much away here, but, um, it may not be the case here, which is very interesting to me given the fan base, given all of the people that tend to vote for these episodes.

Their number one gets 10 points, their number two gets nine points, all the way down to number 10, which gets one point.

So if I get lists where people say, "In no particular order," I don't even argue.

Um, these are fun musical discussions, uh, because it, you know, it makes you revisit albums or bands or whatever the topic is.

Uh, it makes you discover music that maybe you haven't given a chance to before.

That happens to all of us, including me, so that's why we do these episodes, and just the geek in me loves talking about music.

This month, the month of June, we're gonna be doing a Ronnie James Dio countdown, so if you wanna vote on your 10 favorite Ronnie James Dio albums, can be Dio, can be Black Sabbath, can be Rainbow, can be Elf, can be Heaven & Hell, which is, you know, Black Sabbath.

That countdown episode will probably be recorded the week of the 22nd, so send it in before that.

And then later on this summer, we're gonna be doing greatest, um, guitar albums, like we've done, but live albums, so live solos, so on and so forth.
