“Trust God & His Word, Step 1” – Rabbi Steve Weiler (07/18/2026)

Okay, I've received Yeshua as my Messiah.

Now, what do I have to do? I have to trust you.

That's what I have to do.

I have to trust the Lord.

And so, as I was considering this and starting this journey, I really felt that I had to say that I want to continue to practice trusting in him.

So the question is, why do I say practice? Because trusting God, it doesn't come naturally.

It's not something that I can do, say, okay, just trust him, and then I'll fall into line, and in everything I'll trust him.

It's not happening that way.

It doesn't happen that way.

Yes, it's mandatory that we trust God.

There's no wiggling out of this.

If you don't trust God, you're lost, right? maybe not lost in the salvation point of view because you've trusted God enough to receive him into your life.

But now the next trust is to trust him for the journey.

And it's a journey.

So it means that, you know, I start the journey and I'm maybe okay, but I have to each day get better and better and better in trusting God.

Because in order to have a good relationship with him, I have to trust him.

Look, in order to have a good relationship with anybody, you've got to trust them.

You've got to believe what they say is the truth.

And if you don't, it's not going to work with you and God, so to speak.

You'll know about him.

but you really won't know him.

And without knowing him and his word in your heart, it's very hard to be a disciple.

People cannot disciple you if you are not focused on trusting God and trusting his word.

That's the key.

Imagine if we couldn't trust our parents or our brother and sister or our friend or an employer.
