So this is what God is putting in front of us, and he wants us to look at this.

So this is what I'm setting in front of you, and I want you to put special attention to this that I'm saying right now.

The blessing, if you listen to the misvot of Adonai, your God, that I am commanding you today.

So there is a condition for the blessing, and that condition is if you listen, and then we can easily, I mean, in our language, listen.

But this idea for you to listen, it sounds like, OK, I listen to what you're saying.

Okay? So, and I think in some way there's something in American culture that we say, have you listened? We say that.

Are you listening to me? It means, do you understand? Are you doing what you're supposed to do? So this is the idea in this part.

This is the message that the Lord wants us to consider, to perceive and consider, think about, meditate in the sense of thinking, what is this that the Lord is telling us today? So, and we need to know what is the context here, okay? So, what is the current circumstance at the time that these words, they were given to the people of Israel? They were about to cross the The Jordan.

And at this point, they need to understand that God has been with them and there is a purpose for them.

So this is what God is putting in front of us, and he wants us to look at this.
