And one of the things is as a Jewish boy growing up in a Jewish area and in seventh grade, I joined chorus because I loved to sing and along with The music, the music was the main thing that really started me on patriotism, other than my dad, who was very patriotic, but I'll mention that in a minute.

And believe it or not, music is also how I got introduced to the Lord, because the oldies songs, having to do with the United States, we're all about God.

And so I'd like to play one of those songs for you now, the Battle Hymn of the Republic, and I chose this particular rendition of it.

It's usually sung by choruses of a thousand, but I chose this one because of the young people who were singing this, three young people in particular.
My eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored He has loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword His truth is marching on
hallelujah.
His truth is marching on.
He has sounded forth a
trumpet
that shall never call retreat.
He is sifting out the hearts of all before his judgment seat.
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer him.
Be jubilant, my feet.
glory glory hallelujah his truth is marching on
In the beauty of the lilies, Christ was born across the sea.
With a glory in his bosom that transfigures you and me.
As he died to make us holy, let us live to make men free.
