“Beginning With God” – Rabbi Steve Weiler (07/10/2026)

And so I'm going to start with the fact that if you're here, which you are, you would consider yourself part of Messianic Judaism more than likely.

And in Messianic Judaism, we realize that the foundation of our faith is Jewish, and receiving the Messiah, Yeshua, is what completes that faith.

And God's Word, the Bible, is our instruction book.

You know what they say, it's the basic instruction for life.

Before Leaving Earth.

Thank you.

And so we see this from Genesis to Revelation.

Every book has something really extraordinary to talk to us about.

And so we're going to look at some of that.

But being born Jewish is a nationality.

It's not a faith, it's a nationality.

The only way to really come to the Lord by faith is to ask him to receive us.

And whether you're Jewish or not by birth, your faith can be described as Messianic Jewish.

So when talking to others, And if you're not Jewish by birth, it's still reasonable to say that you're a Messianic Jew by faith, not by birth.

And it keeps it really simple.

And I was thinking, because you're here by faith, you're not here because of any other reason other than that God brought you here.

And you responded to that call.

And so you're here.

You've made a decision to be here.

And so we come to the Lord by faith.

Our walk starts with making a conscious decision to serve the Lord for the rest of our lives.

It's not enough to read God's Word or to acknowledge God.
