I give a tear filled farewell to Dolly and Tim. You both will be missed. Then I talk about my anti-vaxxer boss before my dive into Belle Gibson. Sources: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belle\_Gibson#…
I worked the other day.
The pharmacy was doing its usual end of summer push for employees to come in and get their flu vaccine.
Now, I'm all for this.
I'm gonna get both flu and COVID booster.
Even if I get some mild side effects from it, I know those are way more tolerable than the alternative.
He mentioned they came to him and he told them that no, he is not getting the vaccine.
Because yep, you guessed it, he's an anti-vaxxer.
I like the guy, but yeah, him and I have vastly different political views.
He's convinced the government puts weird shit in it and that you just can't trust them.
And he'll take more natural things and be just fine.
Sure, Jan.
You want to know the safer alternatives he takes? Random supplements he's heard about on the Joe Rogan show.
Because yeah, when I'm looking for sound medical advice, I'll go to the guy who confused measles with chickenpox.
No thank you.
My boss also said he takes these peptides that I believe he said he has shipped in from Pakistan.
What the fuck? So you won't trust something that is produced in an inspected facility that is held to the highest standards, yet you'll order random vials from Mystery Factory in Pakistan and inject them yourself.
I seriously don't get the mentality of some of these conspiracy theorists out there.
But I also, over the last decade or so, have gotten a taste of what he thinks.
Right now I am seeing the U.S. government slashing programs that keep us safe and healthy.
They are fucking with agreements made with foreign countries and breaking their trust in ways that will take decades to earn back.
And the ones entrusted with putting the restraints on the guy are, for the most part, letting him get away with murder.
Right now, I don't really trust the U.S. government either.
If I pick up a bag of salad, I wonder if it's going to make me sick.
If I grab some steaks, I wonder if the cow was infected with that screw worm parasite.
