Love *The Secret Life of the American Teenager*? So do we. Unfortunately~ ⭐ Think we rated this episode too harshly (or not harshly enough)? Tell Sarah, Rob, and Ashley in the comments! What would…
And Ricky and Adrian are well, Ricky and Adrian are both there.
I was about to say they were so excited walking around the house.
Really, Ricky doesn't give a fuck.
But Adrian is excited.
They're walking around.
They're looking at everything.
And then Adrian says, I've booked a session with your therapist and you're welcome to come.
And it was really weird because you could tell, like, there's something, I don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but this is something, this seems to be really inappropriate.
Like typically therapists don't just allow for like significant others to start coming and like, oh, sometimes we'll do couples sessions.
For children too.
Like underage.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Exactly.
Typically, this is pretty set in stone about like if I'm seeing Ricky and then her significant other wants to see me, I probably won't take on that patient.
Somebody else will have to take them on.
But those rules don't exist here.
So don't worry about it.
And Adrian tells Ricky what she wants to see in her future, how she feels about her.
what she wants in terms of a significant other and ricky says well people don't always get what they want therapy is hard and she's like no um there's going then she this was a golden moment also adrian's like i'm sure the therapist can help us figure out how you and i can spend more time with john together and i'm like what do you think the therapist is like a MacGyver for marital discourse? What are you talking about? If Amy says she doesn't want you around her kid, the therapist is not going to pull something out of his ass to say, here's an Uno reverse card, Amy.
You have to let Adrian be with your child.
I
don't
know.
Again, we're giving teenagers the wrong idea of what therapy is.
