Ripped. Jacked. Swole. And... limp? When does wanting bigger muscles turn toxic? And how's that linked to unhappiness in the bedroom?
And this is about microplastics.
When you drink a cup of hot tea that you yourself have made in this case, How many microplastics are you consuming? And can you change that equation? What they did for this study in particular is they looked at 14 different brands that come in bags.
A lot of people out there drop the tea bag in there and then kind of fish it out with a spoon, do it that way.
This is where you take the loose leaves and just steep them in the tea and do it that way.
And for this study, 95 degrees Celsius, so just under boiling.
What is the microplastic count? So if you have a plastic teabag, you are consuming between 500 and 2,500 microplastic particles per cup.
Very, very negligible.
The whole result, the major takeaway from this study is that if you have a plastic tea bag, you're going to be drinking a lot of microplastics with it.
So essentially
zero all the way up to, what was it? How many particles?
Up to 2,500.
That's a very good question, and I had the same exact question.
How does that compare to other things? There was a study out of Bangladesh earlier this year, and they were looking at plastic bottles.
When you drink anything out of a plastic bottle, how many microplastics does it contain? And I'll just go through some of the major points here.
If you have a bottle of water, up to 300.
If you have a soft drink, up to 1,000.
But the major takeaway here is if you are the kind of person who is looking to avoid microplastics, because I think a lot of people have I read these doomsday headlines.
They're everywhere.
They can end up in the water supply.
