One question is, I will put it in front of your executive leadership team and then have you get out of the way long enough for them to actually answer it.

What have we made difficult for people to tell us? Not what aren't the employees telling us.

Maybe they don't challenge an unrealistic deadline or they won't tell you that one of your executives is creating problems across the organization.
okay

or maybe they've simply learned that bringing leadership a problem isn't worth the headache okay that's not what i want your executive team to start thinking about okay because leaders love to say my door is always open great that's not the question What happens when somebody walks through it and tells you something you don't want to hear? That's the real test.

Do you even listen? Right? Do you get defensive? Do you explain? Do you immediately tell them why they're wrong? Do you start investigating who said what? Oh, that is probably one of my biggest challenges.

we're so concerned about who said it versus what was said and how do we address it and make it better okay do you begin to label them as a negative person right or do you get curious because every time someone brings leadership uncomfortable information leadership teaches them something okay we teach people whether telling us the truth is worth it or not.
