That color to me looks so much like something that I have tons of confidence in for steelhead as well as salmon, and it's UV.

But also with those little scent chambers or holes or whatever you would call them, like having some eggs in there, you could have a contrasting color poking through just lightly there.

that i don't know i mean i'm really excited to fish these i i already believe in them just holding them up and but you know i i gotta i gotta go put them to the test and then not also another thing about testing is there's a lot of people that may test on an amazing day or test on a bad day and judge something.

So I usually like to run something throughout a season and fish it before I really, you know, make any bold statements with them.

But I will say this one excites me a ton.

But beyond those clusters, Like I had mentioned earlier, it really seems like you're solving issues and needs and new ideas.

Now, these go – you've got products from salmon fishing, deep sea and bottom fishing, tuna fishing, freshwater, all sorts of things, crabbing.

And a bunch of things that are – I may not know crabbing or bottom fishing as well as as I should, but I'm seeing a lot of different things.

Like for instance, bait basket, halibut fishing bait holder and bottom fishing scent chamber, you know, a lot of vaulted products and such.

Where does this kind of saltwater deep sea bottom fishing thing, is that something that you do a lot, Ray? Or is this something where you've got fishermen that you talk to looking for a need? How have these come about?

Well, this is really, I would say, our sweet spot for fishing.

We moor our boat here in Newport.

I'm actually sitting on it right at the moment.

Oh, wow.

Most of our time is spent in saltwater, especially during the summer months.

Then we'll move into the rivers as the weather starts to get worse.

At least for me personally, when, you know, you're going out and you're trolling for salmon and you catch a lingcod or a sea bass or a halibut, you know, that, to me, that's pretty exciting.

Absolutely.

Because you really, I mean, you can target a fish, but you really never know what you're going to get.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

So would you say that's kind of your favorite fishery? Would that be like bottom fishing, deep sea? Or if you just had to choose one in your area, what's your favorite fishery? I would say that because it's really diverse.

We tuna fish, we halibut fish, salmon fish, and you get quite a variety of different species that you can target in, we'll say, similar areas here.

yes and that if you mention newport uh there was uh i i have gone down there just to fish off the jetty and man it was amazing fishing for rock bass and lingcod never been out too far in the salt out there as far as tuna or anything but it seems like a very productive area
