And just before I continue, I did wanna take a moment to acknowledge this beautiful Wurundjeri country that we're broadcasting on today.

Um, I wanna pay my respects to elders past and present and honor, uh, this in the work that we do, and we'll carry this into our show today as we play music by Black artists.

We love Black music, First Nations music.

From Invasion Day to Nakba, from the river to the sea, always was and always will be.

On today's show, uh, very, very excited to have our guest joining us today.

Um, we have Chrissy Collins, AKA Mother Funk, uh, in the studio.

They, uh, have just arrived, um, and they're just joining us to talk about tonight's Solstice fundraiser for, um, Sudan and Mob Strong, uh, which is taking place tonight at the Grace Darling.

It's a stacked lineup featuring artists OneSix, uh, J9, Soju Gang, Brown Sugar Princess, more, so many more.

Um, and we're really excited to get into the sounds and histories and communities shaping, uh, this event, but also just Black music in this country in general.
