Yeah.

And that's what marathons do.

They, um, show you that, uh, consistency, uh, the power of the positive thoughts.

I mean, you know, 26.2 miles is a hard thing.

Yes.

Less than 1% of the world's population has done it.

Still very much hard as well.

So to get over that finish line, you're going to go through some good parts.

You're going to go through some bad parts and that's very much what life is about.

Um, and, uh, but you can get through it.

That's what it shows you.

And, uh, I think the emotional joy when you cross that finish line and then in the 24, 48 hours later where you suddenly think, oh, my life's missing something now.

What is it? That's where it becomes slightly

compulsive and compelling.

Literally, very much so, as we were talking about before that journey on that plane.

sort of having somebody say, oh, what are you going to do after that one? And suddenly it leads you to some of the greatest moments of my life and certainly have led

from running and

into running and continue to do so.

So I completely believe that.

Obviously, looking at your father as well, Chris, he obviously helped Roger Bannister to run the four-minute mile.

Was that a moment that allowed you perhaps to, as a sort of young person, to believe in the extraordinary motivation to fight sort of boundaries at the time?

Uh, no, because I was minus 10 at the time.

Uh, so I wasn't, I wasn't, yeah, I think, I think no, even looking back the first time I even knew that my father had pacemakes for Roger Bannister was at school, um, aged, um, 10.

Um, so, uh, it was 1974, which shows how old I am.

And school did a 20th anniversary of the four-minute mile.
