Um, for me, like it's a bit cliche, but the one, the mark of success was getting to the start line fit and healthy.
Um, I've had my name in for the last, I think four, three or four marathons and I haven't started any of them, uh, three actually.
So for me, it was about getting to the start line and the finish line, obviously.
And I, I don't know, like I think cause I strung together so many consecutive marathons, I took for granted what it is to be marathon fit.
I know people say, oh, it's hilly and all that kind of stuff, but just with how I was running downhill, like my legs were absolutely smashed.
So I'm a little disappointed in my last 5K because Nothing significant, but it's just that's not how I like to run marathons.
A lot of my marathons I haven't really like dropped off that much, whereas I dropped off a little bit.
16th yeah I wanted top 10 but like again that was just comparing it to last year last year I obviously would have easily got top 10 and I knew that I wouldn't be able to control what that front group did so it's like putting a measure on that it's it's like how do you measure that so it doesn't sound that impressive but I think given who was there on the day and how I ran on yeah it's it's definitely a pass mark.
If I ran 209, I think I would have been like pretty stoked, but that's just how a runner's brain works.
What does that really matter? But it's just like, I feel like we are, well myself and I know a lot of other runners are just like the numbers just really, really drive us.
