Roy Matlock Jr. here, and we are talking money, and, uh, today I'm gonna continue.

If you tuned in last week, or if you've been to the, uh, podcast, I did a little bit of mindset, you know, thinking and, uh, the way you go about building your foundation, and it starts with, you know, what you don't know will hurt you mindset of, you know, building out, you know, the foundation to get your income going.

And I- I've always believed this, that, you know, uh, if you can make more money, you can solve a lot of problems, but it doesn't fix all of your problems.

You gotta do something with the money, but the idea is there is a, um, you know, a cause and effect, and when I say cause and effect, it's very simple.

I mean, if you, you know, put in good, good resu- um, you know, the right recipe, you get the right, uh, outcome.

I mean, you can go over and over and over throughout your life looking for the chocolate cake with the vanilla, you know, uh, recipe, and you're never gonna get the chocolate cake.

And so what happens is you have to put together a long-term plan, and that long-term plan involves, you know, putting in the ingredients that would cause you to end up where you're at, uh, in a positive way.

I'm- I've always believed that, you know, step number one is find something you like doing.

Uh, if you like what you're doing, you will get good at it just by the sheer fact that you like doing it.

And I mean, I've been doing financial advisory for 40 years and, and I finally just told people that ...

I've had people, "When are you gonna retire?" I'm like, "Why would I retire? Uh, it makes no sense.

I'm, uh, I don't get tired of, I don't dread, you know, uh, getting up in the morning and doing what I'm doing, because I like it." I feel like, uh, uh, most people, if you [clears throat] get right down to it, you wanna find something you enjoy doing and something that you feel like has a benefit to others.

Uh, house paid for, $2.6 million in, uh, investments, and, uh, it was because they managed well and, uh, now they are free to do whatever they wanna do.

It's gonna be more than enough, uh, that you need, along with your Social Security, and you just won, so let's go have fun.
