Is Crescent City in the past and ACOTAR in the future? Is Ragnarok going to happen on Midgard? Is Rhys collecting powerful people—and using the siphons to block Azriel and Cassian’s true power? In…
Is Crescent City in the past and ACOTAR in the future? okay all right so this is the whole time time spectrum that we've all been talking about we know that alien went through the you know the the different worlds and she saw one full of water and she saw prithian and she saw i think a city as well so some people have been suggesting that there are different time periods and that crescent city is actually akita in the past um so the idea is that prithee is what happened after the first light runs out on midgard um someone sent this to me on instagram um so i'm sorry i don't know who exactly it was that sent it to me it was definitely a couple of weeks ago and my instagram being like it is good luck to me trying to find that particular message this is yours please let me know super exciting theory um but the idea is that bryce has been taken directly from a very recognizable city and dropped in to prithian like um that when she travels because also remember that she yanks across she doesn't go up and down like aylin i think goes up and down and bryce goes across So you have to wonder if that's like time rather than worlds on top of each other, like Meryl.
Is it Meryl who's doing all the calculations? This could also help explain why there are so many repeated peoples, powers, myths and places across the world without them lining up exactly.
So Megan, just off the bat first, what is your initial interpretation? What are your initial thoughts on this theory?
You know, I hadn't really thought about it until I saw the comment where somebody said basically, like, Bryce was dropped on the lawn of the river house.
If she had been dropped in the middle of Valaris, would she have recognized it? That was what I said.
Yeah.
Like, would all of a sudden she be like, oh, my God, I know this city.
Like, this is something close to me.
I definitely feel like the worlds are obviously connected.
whether that is past, present, future, whether that is, they're all happening like simultaneously.
I don't know that I have enough information to like confidently say that I feel one way or the either.
But I don't, I, I, I love the idea that Crescent city, we've now had the whole thing where like first light is gone.
And they've, instead of what we would have thought as ACOTAR possibly being the past because of technology, this is what they've reverted to.
And now we're in this medieval world.
And then it's like, is this some sort of fantasy, urban, dystopian medieval crossover? I don't know.
Well, this was, look, and this part of the theory was actually something that came into my head was I just thought, hang on a sec.
Bryce never actually saw Prithian.
She never, because she fell on the lawn.
Asriel blindfolds her, whisks her away to the house.
Next thing, she's in the cave system and she never comes out of that cave system again.
So she never sees Prithian properly.
And I do have to wonder what would have happened if Bryce had seen it.
Would it have resembled a place she already knew? Obviously, taking into account that even if we assume that they are the same place and that the things happen as they're meant to, which is that like Midgard floods the whole world is covered in water as per what alien saw then that it finally dries up and turns into prithee and obviously the lands could be completely could look completely different so there is every chance that it could be the same place but still look completely different but I just thought it was a really fun idea I was like and and ultimately Bryce didn't actually see it so would it have looked familiar would that be something that in Akita 6 she's gonna come in there because there's a heap of pegasi flying around everywhere and she's like hey hang on this city looks familiar, like except that it's ancient, but like it's, you know, God, this now goes into that wild Cassian and Bryce theory that readers is a thin place.
