Jul 6, 2026 · 37 min · 10 segments
Healing begins the moment you choose yourself. What happens when we stop asking, “What’s wrong with me?” and start asking, “What happened to me?” In this episode of *Rise Up and Heal*, I sit down…
Carla BurberryGuestAnnieHostAbsolutely, yeah.
And that's where the changes I feel really come into it, don't they, is the second you choose yourself and your own healing is the second that things really begin to shift.
And I find it's not just looking at, okay, other people because you do start to recognize patterns and similar behaviors and things like that.
But it also gives you that opportunity to truly look at your own patterns and to go within and to, you know, with the teachings that I do with Louise Hay's work is like really looking at that inner child and feeling whatever those patterns and those beliefs are that we hold on to because it carries us all the way through.

Healing, I say, I guess, is when their voice stops being the loudest voice in your head.
Definitely.
Definitely.
Yeah.
for sure and that's the thing like you're never alone and that I think this is one of the beautiful things and I love that you do what you do and advocate with the work that you do because you're also speaking up and you're speaking out about it and it's supporting people who are currently going through this or who have gone through it that it's not until you've gone through something like this yourself do you fully understand exactly what it's like because the level of confusion is just I can't even put that into words so It's good to know and for people to know that they are not alone in this journey because there are people like yourself who are out there advocating.

And you are doing a great job in this field as well, supporting others, spreading awareness.
Yeah.

And this is what people need to understand it because once we understand it, really we cannot change what we don't understand.
That's right, exactly.
Thank you.
See, this is why I love doing what I do because I get to speak beautiful people like yourself and we get to have conversations
