#288 From Armour to Action with Paula "Porscha" Burgess of Beyond The Maze

I'm doing something a little different with you this week. I recorded part of one of my Empress Circle coaching calls with my client Paula "Porscha" Burgess of Beyond The Maze, and what started as a coaching session turned into one of my favourite conversations on this podcast. Paula used to feel far more at home in rooms full of men than rooms full of women, race car driver energy, all armour, absolutely no interest in "flowers in the hair." Then a last minute swap saw her walk into one of my retreats instead of the men's retreat she'd already planned to attend, and I watched everything shift for her. She's candid with me about the guard she walked in with, the moment she realised there was no judgement in that room, and how six months on, she's gone from my Empress Circle to running her own business transformation event. I also get her to walk me through Business By Design, her brand new event on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland this November. It's a small group, one on one facilitated experience built for the ADHD brain, where you audit your business, build and actually implement a 90 day plan on the spot, walk away with your own AI assistant, and even write a chapter for a book. If you've ever sat through a conference and gone home with a folder full of ideas you never actioned, this is the opposite of that, and I genuinely wish I'd had this offered to me earlier in my own business. This is Structure, Strategy and Support in action, and it's a reminder that sometimes the armour you think is keeping you safe is the very thing keeping you from the room you actually belong in. **Episode 269, Porscha's first appearance on the podcast** https://open.spotify.com/episode/1qD3NKVrmxnTSLHpBwkkqO?si=d309338214e9482b **Connect with Paula Burgess, Beyond the Maze:** **Business By Design with Paula Burgess, Sunshine Coast Hinterland, 25 to 28 November** https://resources.beyondthemaze.com.au/bbd-eoi **Paula Burgess, Beyond The Maze** https://beyondthemaze.com.au/ **Facebook** [www.facebook.com/beyondthemaze](www.facebook.com/beyondthemaze)**Instagram** beyond\_themaze **Connect with us - Diane and Michelle Anne, Thosesisters:** **Rich Lady Revolution, The Membership** [www.those2sisters.au/membership](www.those2sisters.au/membership) **Our Retreats** [www.those2sisters.com/retreats](www.those2sisters.com/retreats) **Plan, Produce, Publish Podcast** [www.those2sisters.au/plan-produce-publish-podcast](www.those2sisters.au/plan-produce-publish-podcast) **Diane McKendrick, Socials** **Instagram:** dianemckendrick **Facebook:** [www.facebook.com/diane.mckendrick](www.facebook.com/diane.mckendrick) **Those Sisters, website** [www.those2sisters.com](www.those2sisters.com)
