Andrew ScottHostJoeGuestOh, yeah.
Yeah.
So I think the biggest thing that I would say though, having sat with you for these first two episodes-
... that we did in this series, is that you basically-- it was like you were going to restaurant business school-
... for all of that time.
So if you were to, if you were to say, "Hey, Joe, that one location and all of that time, all of that money, all of that blood, sweat, and tears that I put into it," this was probably the single gre- greatest lesson that I learned from that.
What would you s- what would you say that is now to maybe somebody that's listening and going through basically the same thing that you're going through or that you went through, right?

You know, if I had to look back and say something to someone going through the same thing that I went through, I mean, I, I would say like, ultimately, the path teaches you what you need to know, and like every- everything happens for a reason.

And I, I learned lessons because of it, and I, I learned how to overcome adversity and all that kind of stuff.

But yeah, doesn't make it easier in the moment, you know? I, I guess if I had to look back, I, I would tell myself like, "You know what? Yeah, it'll be okay.

Like, you can, you can handle it." But at the end of the day, yeah, sometimes it was just a lesson that I, I had to learn.

'Cause you know the saying, like, what you don't know won't hurt you? Well, that is not true in business.

What you don't know will hurt you in business, and that is, is part of what I had to learn.

I was like, "Okay, in all my future leases, I need to make sure that I'm locked in for, you know, a substantial amount of time, that I have the option to have it there." 'Cause yeah, it is no fun ripping out a business from under you after you've worked so hard to build it, and it's just all the-- one day, it's just gone.

And like we couldn't even really transfer many of our, our customers over because it was, you know, a, a good distance away.

We were able to transfer some of our catering customers over, but yeah, it was tough.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
