So actually what we're beginning to see is the arrival of many of the migratory species that call the Great Barrier of Reef home during the winter months.
So we're seeing the arrival of humpback whales, more and more manta rays, as well as many of the other species that call this place home.
Conducted more than 520 surveys over the course of the last month, spanning more than 43 reefs.
And those surveys have actually shown us patterns of change that have been happening on the Great Barrier Reef, largely as a result of some of the pressures that occurred during the summer months.
So we've seen some coral bleaching still in the far northern and northern parts of the Great Barrier Reef, as well as some damage associated with the passage of Tropical Cyclone Norelle back in March, and some coral bleaching in the central and southern regions.
But overall, what happens at this time of year is actually the coral communities and other, all of the other creatures that actually are in these particular areas are really getting b- and ready for their spawning seasons, which will happen later in the winter and autumn months as we see those replenish the Great Barrier Reef.
