And I, I think, um, every year it gets worse.

I mean, over the last couple years, the attacks on the, especially the trans community, by this administration.

And, um, we do our own to try to fight back against it, but it seems like, uh, it's a losing battle sometimes.

Feels like fighting a four-alarm fire with a squirt gun.

Right?

Yeah.

You know, I- the- for me to be able to lay my head down at night, here is what I believe with, with all of my heart.

What's happening now in all of this craziness and all of this division is separating us into two armies.

An army that is identifying themselves of, "We hate.

We believe that we are the, the, the, the only one that should be in power," and then all of the rest of the world that says, "F that." And when we have an army that wants love and tolerance and diversity, and we have the tangerine tyrant, you know, wherever his next place is going to be, when that pendulum swings, it's gonna be beautiful.

And I have to...

I put my energy there because this stuff is too much.

My oldest is trans and very much wants a new name, and is terrified to do it right now, and is terrified to, to be themselves.

And, you know, this is, this is not the world that we should be living in.

And, uh, so it's, it's rough.

I, I got here, uh, last night and I was just chatting with the person at the grocery store and I said, "You know, I'm here for the, the Pride Festival, and I'm here for free moms." And she looked at me and said, "Oh, my gosh.

There's really some scary people out there.

Please be safe." That was the entrance that I got into this town and, and, and it just...

It, it can break you down.

But I, I have to, to put my energy in, in that this, everything changes and everything evolves, and enough really good people are getting to the point where, you know, enough is powerful, and that means change is coming.
