I want to tell you about one of my, I say goals, I haven't committed to this, but it's more of an ambition.
So let me just, I'm going to label it as a goal as long as you accept that slight equivocation there.
That if it were a goal, I would be... actively taking steps towards it every week, and I'm not.
However, it is kind of that thing in the back of my head that I always come back to.
Wouldn't it be cool if I were to take my children... to every country in the world before they left my home.
If you're into traveling as I am, it's hard to not enjoy collecting passport stamps and not launch at some point in time the dream of collecting all of them.
And if you're into Guinness Book of World Records stuff as I am, and you're into traveling, you undoubtedly know quite a lot about the different records that people have set.
So there's the youngest person in the world to travel to every country in the world.
That record is currently held by Lexi Alford, who accomplished it at 21 years and 177 days old.
There's the youngest man who did it, James Asquith, who did it at 24 years and 192 days.
There are records like the fastest time to travel to each country in the world, which is about 499 days.
There is somebody who recently did the fastest trip to every country in the world by public surface transport.
What's interesting, though, is if you start thinking about records, what you recognize is that with a record like Traveling to Every Country in the World, Anybody who wanted to travel to every country and anybody who had the money to travel to every country could pretty much break the record whenever desired.
Like, if Elon Musk... wanted to break the record of traveling the fastest time to travel to every country in the world, all he would do would be to get in his airplane and fly from country to country to country.
And in a couple of weeks, his team would work things out and he could instantly break the record.
But that would be meaningless to him, right? What would that matter to him? And yet, for me, the idea of taking my children to every country in the world is one of those fascinating things that I keep in the back of my head.
