It was won by Jeannie Longo, which means that when Vibes got the very first yellow jersey back in 2022, it was the very first time we saw a woman in the yellow jersey.

I remember looking around the Peloton and being like, most of these riders have never experienced a women's tour in their lifetimes, which is insane.

And the reason why you see so much fanfare and media attention is because that's intentional.

We still need to demonstrate to the organizers, to sponsors, and to the sport in general that women deserve a seat at this table, that we want to see an event like this.
