And that is beyond you being in the everyday of your business, of your practice.

When you're not in the middle all of it, how does it continue running? And what is the lasting legacy that you want? because we can paint a really beautiful picture.

And this is perhaps the ideal picture that we all have, whether you're in solo practice or in group practice, is this idea of having a practice that just runs beautifully, where as long as you're in it, everyone's happy.

And if you disappeared for three months, let's say, would the whole thing really wobble or would it continue to run its course? Now what makes a business last really comes down to a few things.

So I'm going to talk a little bit about delegation in the rule of leadership, people being in the right roles, and really about building your business as an asset.

Now I've talked before on this podcast about treating yourself as an asset, and you can go back and listen to that episode.

But before we even get there, we really need to talk a lot about delegation.

Now, we hear a lot about delegation, whether you listen to some coaches or the business world, we talk a lot about delegating.

And we talk a lot about that in a way where it's about catching your own breath and And where you give a task to somebody else, so then it gets off your desk and somebody else is doing it and somehow it's going to alleviate all our time.

So there's really something different between delegating and handing over ownership.
