Back Threes - Leicester Preview

Come on, you lads, it's the old.

Huddersfield Town 2, Wigan Athletic 1.

First half, we didn't play very well.

Second half, I thought, wasn't too bad.

My greatest fear never materialised.

Joe Taylor banging one in.

Thankfully, Joe Whitworth was on his toes and managed to quell it.

Disappointing first half performance, two disappointing goals.

On the other, the second half gives me a glimmer of hope for the coming three or four weeks.

Not a cover yourself in glory performance.

But personally, I think it was less the personnel and more the tactics.

When you leave Sonny Perkins up front on his own, we already know what this man can do.

And unfortunately, it's very little.

And when you're just pinging balls off of his head, I actually don't think he won a single duel the entire of the first half.

So it was no wonder that he got hooked early doors in the second because...

it just wasn't working for him and it hasn't been working for him for a long time.

But then, as you say, Whitworth came to our rescue, kept the score at a very, you know, a reasonable standard for the majority.

And when you bring Sadie on, things start to click a little bit more and then suddenly...

Well, I wouldn't say we were on the end of a great result because we still lost, but it definitely looked better in the second half than

it did the first, didn't it? They're a decent side, aren't they? And yeah, there's a couple of goals that you would not have wanted to concede.

But ultimately, you've given them half a game, haven't you? We would have liked some points, but that's not the game that's going to put us in trouble if we end up in trouble.

It's going to be a lot of the

other games.
