Welcome to PRODUCED: How Reality TV Really Gets Made

I'm Ileah Sadler.

And before I started talking about reality TV online, I spent nearly 15 years making it, producing shows like America's Next Top Model, American Idol, and The Rap Game before eventually moving to run a Fox-backed digital studio and eventually my own digital content company.

And I know you have questions about America's Next Top Model.

I did not work on any of the seasons featured in the doc.

But I do have a lot of thoughts and a lot of behind-the-scenes insights.

And one day, we will definitely get to it.

But to know me is to know I truly love reality television.

I am obsessed.

I watch over 500 hours a year just because I love it that much.

About a year ago, I started talking online about reality shows and how they actually work, truthfully, kind of by accident.

And I discovered that you guys are just as fascinated by what happens behind the camera.

So that's what this show is.

This is produced How Reality TV Really Gets Made, a limited run podcast where I sit down with people who really actually made some of the most iconic shows in reality television.

And we really get into how they did it.

Every episode will tackle an iconic series or behind-the-scenes topic people in the comments have been dying to know.

I'm part professional, part superfan, and we will get into the nitty-gritty of how reality TV is actually made with questions only a fellow producer would know to ask.

For me, this is a true celebration of the craft and finally turning the spotlight on the people behind the camera you never get to hear from.

Welcome to Produced.
