Charlotte RotterdamGuestFor our listener, Chapter 8 in this book, it starts on page 99, and this is a Skymind meditation.
Inspired by Charlotta and Peter's experience, primarily, of course, in Vajrayana practice, it doesn't include any elements that would normally require formal transmission and instruction.
And that's an important point for those of you who are steeped in practice, and that is perhaps of concern.
A simple, essentialized practice for honing attention... and cultivating open awareness.
And the idea, you write, is that you can choose to emphasize aspects of the practice according to your own tendencies, level of progress, or state of mind on any given day.
This meditation, while I will not share today because it's just so delicious and I want our listener to get this book and dive in and have all the context prior to practicing, has been profound for me.
So we'll do one Zazen period in the mornings, And in the afternoons, I'm going to offer some of these practices to the small group of students that I have coming to see me.
