We're talking about parenting teenagers, and we figured that was enough of a big topic to make it two parts.

So we had a great introduction to teaching, uh, being parents to teenagers, and I wanted to talk about today maybe when things don't go all hunky-dory, when everything isn't okay and you're struggling.

Because I have three sons and one daughter, and they were very different, each one.

But what do you do if your, if your teenager is expressing lots of defiance to everything that you're doing?

How do you balance punishment versus maybe positive reinforcement? When, when do you get help maybe when there's trials with your teenagers? You know, watching for those red flags.

So these are some of the things we're gonna talk about, uh, today when you've got teenagers that are maybe a little more difficult than others.

And of course, listening carefully is often more effective than immediately offering advice.

Strong connection allows independence and a parental guidance to exist together.

And you know what I found, and I was a single mom with my two older sons, and so we went through the divorce and remarriage, and their dad remarried and had more children.

So quite frankly, their teen years were pretty difficult for them and for us, and difficult for our, my new husband to deal with.
