28th Wrobo Run

Thank you very much, Grace.

As, uh, mayor of this beautiful community and lifelong resident, I just wanna welcome everybody.

If you're not from Jefferson, welcome to this beautiful, uh, space we call home.

And, uh, this has been a longstanding tradition for Jefferson Township.

I remember as a young police sergeant, uh, wor- working as we have many of our emergency services here today, uh, trying to make the streets safe.

Uh, we wanna keep this going.

We've gotta get more people.

We used to have 200, 300 people that would run this race, so, uh, we gotta get the word out and g- keep this tradition going in memory of, uh, JT.

Uh, but thank you so much.

I'm proud to sponsor this as part of our Mayor's Wellness Program.

And thanks to my coordinator and wife, Christine-

[laughing]

-uh, who helps me, uh, coordinate all these programs, uh, to make Jefferson a healthier place.

So welcome, and, uh, let's look forward to a great race.

So my wife and I will be walking and, uh, bringing up the rear.

I hope to win my age group.

Um, so [laughing]

[laughing]

So, but, uh, welcome again, and, uh, let's start with the pledge of allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Have a great race.
