At this point in my life, I've spent hundreds of hours, if not thousands of hours speaking to aspiring podcasters about what it is that they wanna create and what's holding them back from creating the podcast that they have on their minds.
Most of the time, the podcasters that I'm speaking to have been thinking about their podcast for many months, if not many years.
And for many of them, it feels like a really deep knowing that this is what they're supposed to do.
For those that are religious, it's usually, you know, it sounds like something like a calling.
For those that are spiritual, it sounds like a purpose.
And for people who are neither of those things, it just feels like something they know they want to do next and is something that they want to explore very strongly.
And I have these calls with people one-on-one.
It usually lasts 45 minutes to an hour.
And I'm really learning a lot about who they are and how they think.
And I notice over and over again a few things that hold a lot of people back.
The first is the belief that they need more information before they can actually move forward.
And the hard truth about this is that we live in a world that inundates us with information.
And it is very easy to think that more information is going to solve the problem that you have.
And what happens, sadly, is that instead of actually solving the problem, you fall into a pattern where you are just constantly looking for more and more and more information because that's giving you the dopamine hit that makes you think that you are actually doing something.
What will actually move you forward is to solve the problem as best you can and get information that you need to solve that problem right in that moment and then don't look for more information outside of what exactly it is that you need to solve.
And there are people that I now work with who have done that, and I notice they are just exceptional at what they do.
And as I'm saying that, I'm thinking of a woman named Shannon.
Her podcast is called Highlight Your Healing.
I've mentioned her on this channel before.
She watched my videos and I think other channel videos for a while to set up her podcast, and then she joined the accelerator, and now she is launching her fourth season.
And when I tell you I am just in awe of her and how she operates, it's because she has a bias towards action.
So even though she watched videos to get started, she wasn't watching them to just watch more and more and more of them.
